“ Great falafel, fries, and gyro. I go for their plate which is on a bed of lettuce so it's a nice lighter but satisfying meal. I always get a small side of hummus and it comes with plenty of pita. Super tasty, better than store bought hummus. Pretty decent prices still for the area - it is cash only. One of the last places that does that! But theres an atm. They're always quick and friendly. Plenty of seating, never seems to be too crowded. Parking is a bit of a pain so I think most grab and go. Lastly, I hope they never take down their iconic falafel sign! ”

“ It's really small place in Santa Cruz. We went there for vegan options and unfortunately they don't accept any payment method except cash. The service was a little slow. But, the food made up for all this. We ordered chicken shawarma and it tasted juicy and good Babaganoush was creamy and the pita was perfectly baked. Our friends had falafel and that was good too. Their hot sauce in those small pockets and the hummus taste extremely good. The portion size is just accurate for one person. It has an outdoor and an indoor setting. Very light on the pocket. Highly recommend this place with Cash in hand. ”

“ One of my all time favorite spots in Santa Cruz. They make everything fresh right in front of you!! Their falafels are TO DIE FOR. They come out so hot and crispy on the outside, and so juicy and savory on the inside. Every part of the falafel is so deliciously flavored and so well made. Bitting into the freshly made falafel is my favorite part. This place has the best falafels I've ever had (not just in Santa Cruz), and I've had plentiful falafels in my life. I always get their Chicken Shawarma plate, which comes on a bed of veggies with pita bread on the side. I've never had a problem with the chicken being dry or overcooked or anything. Their chicken always hits the spot and it comes with SO much. The pita bread here is amazing. They are so warm and crisp, and you can see the steam when you open them up. They smell wonderful too. I personally love eating falafels just by themselves, but their hummus is really good if you're a sauce person. I dip my pita breads and sometimes my falafels in their hummus. Also, their fries are AMAZING. I'm usually not a fries person, but these fries are incredible. They are salted to perfection. Very friendly staff. Great prices. Cash only, but they do have an ATM inside for you. 10/10 recommend! ”

“ Falafel of Santa Cruz is one of the best spots in town when it comes to Mediterranean cuisine. There are a handful of similar places but I've always enjoyed the consistently high quality food that they produce. Prior to going plant based, I remember coming here and ordering their Chicken Kabab sandwiches and plates. The sandwiches were pretty good - usually meat and veggies inside a fluffy pita. I don't think they offer any sides to the dish which I think would be nice considering it's a sandwich. However, now it's all about their vegan falafel plates. While listed as vegetarian, they are able to veganize it so that you can enjoy this hearty plate of goodness. Hummus, baba ganoush, falafel, and greens accompany your slices of pita, and is well worth it. Meat eaters will enjoy this and I'd argue find it more enjoyable than simply a sandwich. What really shines has been their catering service. I've ordered from them for multiple events and each time, Sam and his team have been on the ball in setting up our orders, making suggestions, coordinating deliveries, and even serving if it's a larger party. The food is always delivered on time, fresh, and has always been a hit with our attendees. I look forward to enjoying more of Falafel of SC for as long as I continue living here in this harbor town. ”
